What is the Thanks-A-LOTTO?
First and foremost, the Lotto is a thank you card. Our goal is to give every HCPS staff member a scratch off card. Behind that silver circle is either a note from a community member or a prize that was donated by the community to thank HCPS staff for all their hard work.
Why are we doing the LOTTO?
Many community members want to say thank you to our educators and staff but don’t have a way to do so. This offers a way for the community to say thank you to all staff in all schools. Spring of 2025 will be our 4th Lotto. Each year we've broken our record for the number of prizes donated by the businesses and community members. Our community supports our schools!
When and where will the Thanks-A-LOTTO take place?
HEF celebrated our first ever lotto on May 4th, 2022, during national Teacher Appreciation Week. Our second year saw us provide 1 in 3 educators a prize. And during 2024, our third year, we will deliver almost half of HCPS staff a prize! A batch of scratch off are delivered to each school and the central office for every staff member to receive one. Prize winners have their gifts delivered to them.
What kind of prizes might HCPS staff win and who provides them?
Each year we were excited to have gift cards, plants, artwork and crafts produced by community members, HEF swag and other surprises. Have a prize to donate, fill out this short form or email as at [email protected]. We welcome donations from businesses, families or individuals. Your in-kind donation is likely tax-deductible!
