Sponsoring a Named Scholarship

Each spring, Harrisonburg Education Foundation launches scholarship opportunities for Harrisonburg City Public School 12 grade students. Students may fill out one application to be considered for over a dozen opportunities. HEF allows donors to restrict their gifts to our general scholarship fund, an established scholarship or create a new named scholarship.
By working with HEF, donors can establish a new scholarship. For a minimum of $1,000, HEF will select a student recipient in celebration of your business or honor/memory of an individual. HEF seeks supporters to do an annual gift, multi-year gift or even an endowed fund. Scholarships can be reserved for a specific career field, focus area or student achievement. Read our current scholarship opportunities. Funds for a scholarship must be on hand in the calendar year prior to awarding. Student scholarships are announced at the HCPS's Scholarship Ceremony, typically in early June. |
